Happy News from Rome that Monsignor Philip Whitmore Prot. Ap is to be the new Rector of the Venerable English College. Monsignor Whitmore has worked for many years in the Vatican's Secretariat of State. He is a fine musician, directs the Schola at the Venerabile, and is often featured on Vatican Radio programmes such as this in which he discusses different settings of the Veni sancte spiritus. He translated Pope Benedict XVI's Jesus of Nazareth which he discusses in this CNS video:
